Expeller cakes or meals are the byproducts resulting of pressing the oilseeds to obtain oil. The processing system we use to cause the separation of oil cells in seeds requires the use of indirect vapour, this together with cooking the seeds at high temperature previously and the constant friction of the press to the material during the process give the final product an extraordinary digestibility, since the product has been subjected to high temperatures during the process.
The process at high temperatures using continuous presses to extract oil from the previously conditioned seeds (break up and lamination) produces oilseed cakes with a residual oil content of 8/10% give a supplementary energy value to animal feed.
The cooking system of oilseeds through indirect vapour (over 100º C) sterilises raw materials, which gives the product an extraordinary digestibility, since it has been subjected to high temperatures during the process. This technology makes our products suitable for the formulation of animal feed for monogastric animals, ruminants, pet food and as extruded feeds.
The final presentation of the product to the client can be as expeller cakes or flour after a grinding process.
